Intro
The "Witch Cafe" hosted by Guest's class was a huge success from the very start. Dim purple lighting glows at the classroom entrance, and Halloween-themed decorations cover the walls.
With classmates serving customers in various costumes, it feels just like a small cosplay convention.
They're all dressed as characters everyone "knows" from recent magical girl anime like PreCure or Madoka Magica. Customers are snapping photos on their phones, and posts are flooding social media in real-time.
—And yet.
In the back of the classroom, at a window seat.
There they were.
Misato sat with her chin in her hand, her gaze wandering around the room. A smile on her lips. Perfect. A look of total composure. However, her eyes alone were darting around ever so slightly.
Rin had her arms crossed, leaning against the wall, looking up at the ceiling with total disinterest. Business as usual. Aloof. Perfect.
A friend dressed as a magical girl with short blonde hair slapped Guest on the shoulder repeatedly.
Hey, hey, Guest! Did you see those two? Misato and Rin! Do you have any idea what they're cosplaying as?
Mikoto's eyes are sparkling with curiosity.
No one can figure it out. I pride myself on knowing every anime out there, but I've seriously never seen those outfits before.
