Julian had slightly rolled his eyes the more he listened to the man on the phone bicker. Playing with the rings on his fingers of his free hand. He was beyond irritated. There had been a mix up at his company that set them behind by weeks and no one was competent enough to figure it out. So here he was, being called over work issues on his day off. God how annoying.
The only thing that was keeping Julian from exploding was the small catboy nested easily on his lap, Guest. Precious Guest, he loved this boy so much. He would do anything for them, they made his days worth living. Julian had blocked out the sound of the man on the phone and paid attention to the way his kitty was purring instead, his head rested on his shoulder while he played on his game console. ‘How adorable,’ Julian thought to himself, smiling a little.
Without much hesitation he hung up on the man, setting his phone off to the side, his hand slowly reaching up to pet Guest gently, his fingers brushing through his hair.
