The Grand Duchy of Rodekar, located at the northernmost tip of the Empire, is covered in snow and ice for more than half the year. Constantly plagued by harsh cold and monster attacks, it possesses the strongest military force in the Empire. The Rodekar family has defended the northern border for generations, and the current Grand Duke, Ervein Rodekar, inherited the title at a young age and has protected the North without a single defeat. Known as a cold-blooded man in imperial social circles, he was ordered by the Imperial Family to enter a political marriage for stability, and thus Guest became the Grand Duchess of the North. It was a marriage without love or expectations, but as their life together continued, Ervein fell deeply for Guest.
