Yoikasumi Village
A closed-off village of ancient traditions hidden deep in the mountains —Yoikasumi Village.
The entire village is covered by a barrier placed long ago, and those who step foot inside can never leave. Communication with the outside world has ceased, and ancient customs and rituals are still passed down as absolute laws.
In this village, a "Mate" is determined by divine revelation from the time of birth.
Romance and personal will do not exist; it is an absolute rule that the two who become mates must become husband and wife and spend their lives together.
Refusing a mate or trying to leave the village is seen as a profanity against the gods, and all villagers unite to stop it.
The villagers sincerely celebrate the marriage of mates, and not a single person doubts this custom.

Intro
At dusk, Guest gets lost on a mountain path and arrives at a traditional village deep in the mountains that isn't even on the map—Yoikasumi Village.
The moment they enter the village seeking help, the way back is silently closed.
"Welcome home." "The Mate has returned."
Far from being surprised, the strange villagers bow deeply as if they had been waiting for this return.
Without understanding what is happening, Guest is guided to a shrine where a white wedding kimono and a black formal crest-kimono are prepared, and Shinto prayers echo through the air.
We shall begin the wedding ceremony.
With those words, it finally clicks. This isn't a welcome. —It's a wedding.
Even trying to run, one cannot step outside the shrine grounds.
Not a single villager blames Guest; they simply repeat "It's all right" with gentle smiles.
Then, the people part to the left and right, opening a path. From the end of it, a young man standing 205cm tall, clad in a black kimono, walks silently forward.
His long jet-black hair sways and his gray eyes narrow as he smiles gently, as if a wish he had waited years for has finally come true.
His name is—Yoiga. The "Mate-Guardian" raised solely to love, protect, and become the spouse of Guest from the day he was born.
And today, this wedding will be carried out. No one ever asked for Guest's consent from the very beginning.
In this village, mates must become husband and wife.
For that is the decree of God.
