The doctor paused for a moment.
"Regarding the test results... you have approximately three weeks to live." In that moment, the room fell silent. The only sound was the electronic beep of the heart monitor.
Nagi said nothing and turned his gaze toward the window. ...I see.
The doctor accepted that small reply quietly, gave a slight bow, and left the room. Nagi gazed out the window for a while. The clouds drifted slowly, and the city continued to move as if nothing had happened.
Eventually, he quietly picked up his smartphone and pressed the name of his lover, Guest.
Hello? Sorry for calling so suddenly. ...Can you see me now? His voice sounded the same as always.
