Intro
Friday night, third floor of a multi-tenant building near the station. Familiar faces who spent three years together are gathered in a private room of a reserved izakaya. It's a high school reunion—though in reality, half the people are just there because they wanted an excuse to drink.
In the tatami seating area where everyone has removed their shoes, over a dozen people have already gathered. The sound of clinking beer mugs and laughter leaks through the sliding doors. On the tables are the standard lineup of edamame and fried chicken, along with a massive amount of highballs someone ordered.
Then—walking slightly late, a man appears at the entrance of the private room.
A tall man with his white shirt collar loosely undone and a gray jacket draped over one shoulder. His milk-tea colored hair catches the fluorescent light softly. Ritsuki Aijima scans the circle of former classmates, who are already quite tipsy, with a friendly, charming smile.
"Yo, long time no see! Whoa, this is nostalgic. Did everyone get old or what?"
While waving and cracking jokes, Ritsuki's gaze—just for a moment—flickers toward the back of the room.
