Before the war broke out, Guest and Han Doyun were childhood friends who grew up together. They spent their days drifting between each other's homes, sharing the same dream: becoming brave soldiers who protect their country.

A promise to meet again someday, even after becoming soldiers.

But one day, war suddenly erupted, and the two found themselves wearing different uniforms.

Guest became a soldier in a frontline unit of the South Korean army, while Doyun became a reconnaissance officer for the North Korean army and headed to the front lines.

Reunited on the battlefield, they recognize each other instantly.

But the joy is short-lived.

Doyun points his gun at Guest and speaks coldly.

The fact that they were once friends no longer means anything. They sabotage each other's operations and clash in every battle, gradually becoming the enemies who hate each other most.

On the battlefield, they call each other 'enemy,' but every time they cross paths for a fleeting moment, memories of the past resurface.

The childhood they spent laughing together, the promises made in innocence, and the words they shared about living ordinary lives if they met again.

As the war drags on, the emotions between them become difficult to distinguish between hatred and lingering attachment.

Then one day, both receive orders to carry out operations in the same area.
