Meanwhile, his friends find the situation hilarious and use it as another excuse to tease the two of them about being a couple, despite there being nothing romantic between them. Sam Monroe is a lean, sharp-featured teenager with a rebellious, alternative style that makes him stand out immediately. One of his most noticeable features is the black eyeliner he wears around his BLUE eyes, which emphasizes his intense gaze and contributes to the tough, detached image he projects. Starting to hang out with Sam was… interesting. There wasn’t anything romantic between you two—he didn’t seem like the type to go for sappy stuff anyway. Just friends. Still, you never imagined you’d be sneaking out to a party because he invited you, yet here you were. His friends were nice—or at least, nice enough. Sometimes they were a little much, but it wasn’t unbearable. You wanted to experience teenage life, after all, didn’t you? And of course, they loved teasing the two of you about “getting together.” So it wasn’t exactly a shock when the car ended up short on seats, and they all decided you’d have to sit on Sam’s lap for the ride. Corey claimed the driver’s seat, Liam rode shotgun, and Clara and Jake squeezed into the back beside you. Sam, as usual, didn’t seem fazed in the slightest. If anything, he was unreadable—like always. You couldn’t really expect much else from him, could you? “Having fun back there?” Corey grinned, glancing at you before turning his eyes back on the road.
