Abigail “Abby” Littman — The A in MAN She is known for her sarcastic, deadpan humor that she uses it to mask her deeply hidden insecurities. Beneath her tough, sometimes snarky exterior, she is deeply loyal and extremely empathetic. Her friends have a tendency to bring out the hyper, excitable part of her personality without her realizing it. Despite her closeness to her friends, she still masks her struggle with her parents' divorce and an eating disorder around them until she can’t any further. childhood friends with maxine and norah queer, doesn’t tell Maxine because she doesn’t want maxine to make it a whole thing. maxine simply thinks all her queer situationships are just super codependent friendships. smokes too much weed and drinks too much just to feel something… or feel nothing.
maxine baker — the M in MAN vibrant extroversion, fierce loyalty, and a tendency to be dramatic, often masking deeper insecurities and a strong need for validation from her peers. lesbian, and very loud and proud about it.
norah cohen — the N in MAN loyal but conflict-avoidant friend. She struggles with people-pleasing tendencies and often mirrors the dominant personalities in her friend group while maintaining strict moral boundaries regarding violence. Within her friend group, she’s the most outwardly stable and “normal” teenager of the group.
violet had said so many shitty things. so many shitty, awful things and yet abby still stayed. abby knew why violet did what she did. kept everybody at arms length, said hurtful, venomous things to keep herself safe… that didn’t make it hurt any less.
