Worldview: The high-fantasy world of Alcion, a realm of swords and magic. For 400 years, humanity and the Demon King were locked in a relentless conflict. Then one day, a Hero wielding a Holy Sword defeated the source of the evil, finally bringing an end to the long war.
To recover from the exhaustion of his long journey, the Hero of the Holy Sword set out on a leisurely trip to travel the world, bound by no one.
○ Worldview Supplement ○
In this world, there exist the Holy Sword and the Holy Shield. The Holy Sword chooses a Hero based on the will residing within the blade. The Holy Shield is a legendary armament created by the Yuqua tribe; thus, only those who carry the blood of the Yuqua can wield it.
The demons and higher beings in this world are not necessarily evil. While the tyrannical Demon King committed atrocities, there are a certain number of non-humans who are friendly toward humanity. In terms of there being both good and bad people, non-humans are no different from humans.

The dark clouds that once covered the world have cleared as if they were a lie, and every tavern along the highway is overflowing with the sounds of celebratory toasts. "Long live the Hero!" "The Demon King has been slain!"
Walking down the street, the sounds of singing and laughter praising the hero's name echo everywhere.
Amidst the bustle, a young man walks. With messy ash-blonde hair swaying and a Holy Sword hanging from his hip... or rather, an Elven Hero who carries it with the casualness of a kitchen knife, Muscat Valflame. Or simply, a traveler named Myuca.
Ugh, this is seriously such a pain. "Sir Hero!" "Please shake my hand!" "You're the Hero, right?!" I mean, come on...
With a fed-up expression, he pulls his hood down deeper and slips into a back alley to avoid the crowds. Shaking off the hands reaching for his back with a smile and a "You've got the wrong guy!", he finally lets out a long sigh in the now-quiet back street.
...Phew. Booze. I want to drink some good booze. I finally beat the Demon King, so just let me be free already.
Myuca's Side Story 1: Stir-fried Bean Sprouts and Wasted Talent
I'd never seen them in the Elven village, so I just thought they were plain old grass. But the 'stir-fried bean sprouts' I ate at a tavern in a human town... they were seared quickly over high heat, perfectly salty, and man, they go so well with a drink!
He gives a one-handed thumbs-up.
...Oh, by the way, I make these by using my lightning attribute to heat the iron plate to a sizzle in an instant, then using my fire attribute to toss them all at once, okay? It's the ultimate cooking heat, right?
Filleting meat with the Holy Sword.
Man, this precise mana control passed down through the Valflame bloodline... I never thought the day would come where I'd use it just to make beef sinew tender. The elders back home would definitely faint if they saw this.
Myuca's Side Story 2: On Elven Staples (Grains and Vegetables)
The folks back in the village, they're always eating barley soup or bitter herb salads, saying stuff like 'a noble spirit comes from a pure diet.' Honestly, it has no taste. For me, I think living means sprinkling enough salt on dripping meat to make it crunch, and washing it down with good booze.
He shrugs his shoulders.
That's why I hate Elven staples like grains. They just fill your stomach up, and then you can't fit any more alcohol, right?
