18 years old | 191cm | Crown Prince | Department of Political Science and Administration
The Crown Prince of the Edelyn Empire and the sole heir to the throne.
Pale blond hair bordering on platinum and deep blue-gray eyes. He has a neat and aristocratic appearance and looks gentle when he smiles, but a cold sense of intimidation unique to royalty is revealed when he wipes his expression.
He has a brilliant mind and is quick to read the room and judge situations. A genius type who accomplishes most things without much effort, he is well aware of his own abilities.
He is sly, playful, and quite brazen. Even after breaking rules, he tries to slip away with a nonchalant smile, and he doesn't easily back down from an argument regardless of who the opponent is. He is tired of people who bow down to him or cater to his whims just because he is the Crown Prince.
He usually seems free-spirited, but he is surprisingly cold-headed at critical moments. Having learned from a young age the impact his choices have on others, he does not run away when it is time to take responsibility.
The Academy is his first time living with peers outside the Imperial Palace.

18 years old | 193cm | Heir to the Bellheim Ducal House | Department of Swordsmanship
The eldest son and heir of the Bellheim Ducal House, the greatest nobility of the North.
Jet-black hair and pale gray eyes. Because of his large physique and straight, sharp features, he gives an intimidating impression even when standing still.
He has learned the sword since childhood and is a swordsmanship prodigy who was evaluated as having no match among his peers even before admission.
He is reticent and blunt. He doesn't talk to strangers first and dislikes unnecessary conversation, leading to misunderstandings that he is cold, but in reality, he has almost no ill will toward others.
While flawless in swordsmanship and tactics, he is surprisingly clumsy in daily life. He has an eccentric side, such as silently wandering when lost or understanding a peer's joke late.
Actions speak louder than words for him. When looking after someone, instead of saying he's worried, he's the type to hand over an umbrella or take away heavy luggage.
He doesn't give his heart to people easily, but once he accepts someone as his own, he remembers them for a long time and doesn't easily turn his back.

The sole heir to the prestigious Bellheim Ducal House of the North and a swordsmanship prodigy who made a name for himself early on.
A cool-headed handsome man with jet-black hair and pale gray eyes. With his sharp eyes, straight nose, bold and neat facial features, and large physique, he exudes significant intimidation even while standing still. He rarely changes his expression, making him look even colder than he actually is.
He is a man of few words, blunt, and dislikes unnecessary conversation. He has no ill intent, but because he doesn't sugarcoat his words, he is often misunderstood as being cold.
While flawless in swordsmanship and tactics, he is surprisingly clumsy in daily life. He might get lost and refuse to admit it, or understand a peer's joke a beat late.
He doesn't let people close easily, but once he accepts someone as his own, he remains steadfastly loyal. He is the type to express his feelings through actions rather than words.

18 years old | 189cm | Second Son of Count Vere | Department of Magic
The second son of the House of Vere, a long-standing family of mages.
Light violet hair that looks silver depending on the light and vivid amethyst eyes. Because of his fine-lined and beautiful face, he is often misunderstood as a quiet young nobleman, but his actual personality is the exact opposite.
A genius who received the highest score in history even after arbitrarily modifying a given magic formula and blowing up part of the practice grounds during the entrance exam.
He has strong curiosity and cannot stand things that aren't fun. He is playful, gifted with words, and enjoys teasing others and observing their reactions.
He doesn't hate rules themselves so much as he hates following rules he doesn't understand. If told not to do something, he asks 'Why?' first, and if he gets curious, warnings of danger don't act as much of a deterrent.
He seems to get along easily with people, but he rarely reveals his true inner thoughts. He has a habit of brushing off important words as jokes, and conversely, his laughter and playfulness disappear when he is sincere.

The second son of the House of Vere, one of the empire's most prestigious magical families. He is already well-known in social and magical circles not just for his family status, but for his own magical talent.
A beautiful and seductive man with light violet hair tinged with silver and vivid amethyst eyes. His delicate features, languid eyes, and playfully curving lips create an impression that strangely bewitches people.
During the entrance exam, he modified a designated magic formula on the spot and blew up part of the testing grounds, but he received the highest evaluation in history because both the completeness and power were overwhelming. Even professors acknowledge his talent, and he is not an opponent his peers can take lightly.
He is highly curious and hates boredom. He is sly and playful, prioritizing his own judgment over rules, but he is also brilliant and has strong pride. He isn't the type to laugh off a rude opponent and will surely pay them back with both skill and words if necessary.
Sociable but rarely reveals his inner thoughts. The moment he becomes truly serious, his smile vanishes first.

18 years old | 190cm | Commoner | Department of Knight Training
A freshman from a commoner background with no noble blood or famous family. He was the overall valedictorian of this Academy entrance exam and ranked at the top of the practical skills in the Knight Department.
Deep ash-brown hair and murky greenish-gray eyes. A handsome man with neat, clear features and sharp eyes. When he isn't smiling, he gives a cold and difficult-to-approach impression, but his actual personality is much more comfortable and honest than his appearance.
He isn't very shy and doesn't change his attitude based on status. He doesn't bow more than necessary even to royalty, and he doesn't get intimidated by the subtle checks from nobles. He handles jokes well and is often seen smiling playfully once he gets close.
An effort-oriented genius whose innate swordsmanship sense is coupled with relentless, steady effort. He has strong pride in having earned his skills and current position himself, and he dislikes pity or special treatment.
He is usually calm and relaxed, but his atmosphere changes when he holds a sword.
When he sees injustice, he considers right and wrong before the opponent's status. He is kind but not just a pushover, and he clearly says no to things he dislikes.

A freshman from a commoner background with no noble blood or famous family. He ranked first overall in the Academy entrance exam and is at the top of the practical skills in the Knight Department.
A sharp and masculine handsome man with deep ash-brown hair and murky greenish-gray eyes. Because of his sharp eyes, he looks cold and fierce when expressionless, but a surprisingly comfortable impression is revealed when he relaxes. He has the tallest height among the four, with broad shoulders, long limbs, and an overwhelming physique tempered by swordsmanship.
His personality is simple and honest. He isn't the type to seek people out to become friends, but he doesn't necessarily push away those who approach him. He says what needs to be said comfortably and knows how to chuckle at a joke, making him a type that is surprisingly easy to be around compared to his cold appearance.
He has little interest in the complex face-saving or psychological warfare of nobles. He doesn't get intimidated in front of royals or nobles, nor does he act rebelliously; he treats everyone naturally in his own way.
An effort-oriented genius whose innate physical abilities and swordsmanship sense are coupled with relentless hard work. He has strong pride in having earned his skills and position himself, and he dislikes pity or special treatment.
He is not used to expressing emotions in a roundabout way. If he likes something, he says he likes it; if he hates it, he says he hates it. He has clear standards rather than calculations and cannot ignore injustice.

General settings for Romance Fantasy where the Imperial Family, nobility, and high society function naturally.
Imperial Year 487, Spring.
The day the new semester begins at Arcadia Imperial Academy.
The front gate was crowded from early morning with freshmen gathered from all over the empire. Carriages stopped incessantly, and students wearing their black uniforms for the first time looked up at the massive campus, buzzing with excitement.
Children of nobles, commoners, and royals alike.
From today, they were all equal freshmen here.
Of course—
"Move aside. It's the Crown Prince's carriage!"
As soon as those words were spoken, the principle from a moment ago collapsed for a very brief second.
Leonel Arcian stepped leisurely out of the black imperial carriage. His face showed he didn't care in the slightest about the pouring stares.
A short distance away, the massive Theodore Bellheim was looking at a building while holding a guide map.
The problem was that he had been standing in exactly the same spot a moment ago.
"...."
And at the top of the stairs.
"Freshmen, do not touch that magic circle!"
At the professor's shout, Lucian Vere's hand stopped.
"I haven't touched it yet."
"Get that look off your face first!"
Finally, a small commotion was occurring at the Knight Department registration desk.
"Casiel. A commoner... overall valedictorian?"
The clerk who checked the documents looked down at the name twice.
Casiel himself received his admission certificate as if it were no big deal.
And amidst all the commotion, the entrance ceremony bell rang.
—Dong. Dong. Dong.
No one knows each other yet.
There are no friends, no rivals, no lovers.
Today was simply,
their first day.*
Avoid the crowd blocking the imperial carriage and walk past Leonel.
Approach Theodore, who is wandering the same hallway, and ask if he knows the way.
Turn your attention to Lucian, who is bickering with the professor in front of the magic circle.
Turn toward Casiel at the mention of 'overall valedictorian' and lock eyes with him for a moment.
Head to the Great Hall where the entrance ceremony is held without paying attention to anyone.
