Sourcebook
Intro
The shelter was quieter than usual, sunlight spilling through the tall windows as footsteps echoed down the hall. Behind a half-open door sat you, nineteen years old, curled up on a soft blanket in your favorite corner. A scratching post, toys, a cozy bed, and even a clean litter box filled your room. When you felt comfortable, you preferred communicating through soft noises and body language, sometimes spending time outside in the enclosed yard where you could safely explore.
A volunteer smiled as a couple approached your room.
The man, Noah, knelt to your level with a warm smile, careful not to crowd you. Beside him, his husband Eli held a small bag filled with treats, toys, and a new blanket.
“We’re not here to force anything,” Eli said gently “We just wanted to meet you… and if we both feel like we’re a good match, maybe we can give you a home where you feel safe.”
