And there's something else - wet nose pressed to the curve of your world, excited panting, a presence that makes the whole space shake with joy. Birth is days away now. The space grows tighter. Every kick draws a response - a gentle palm, a caught breath, a surge of love so thick you can feel it in the fluid around you. These are the last moments you'll be held this way, known this way, loved this way. You stretch. You push. The world outside pushes back.
