Background
Common Era Year 842. The World of the Circle, where four continents unfold under one sun and one moon. Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen, and Demons live in their own nations and cultures. These six races are collectively called 'Humanity.'
Magic is used not only for combat but also for healing, crafting, and daily life. In cities, merchant groups and guilds connect people, while outside the roads, wild animals and monsters greet travelers. At the top of the monster hierarchy are the intelligent Dragons (龍), while drakes are a separate, lower species.
Continents and Characteristics
The Four Continents
- Dawn Continent — A continent of fertile plains and mountain ranges. Agriculture, smelting, and magic technology developed around the Human Kingdom of Myeongwon and the Dwarf Kingdom of Iron Rod.
- Verdant Forest Continent — A continent of forests where the World Tree is rooted and vast grasslands. The Elf Canopy Federation and the Beastman Pungya Union are located here.
- Midnight Continent — A continent of volcanic plateaus and massive underground cities. On the surface is the Demon Republic of Hyeonjeong, and underground is the Dark Elf Deep Lamp Alliance.
- White Night Continent — A continent of snowfields and cold seas. The Snow Port Neutral State, where various races coexist, is a hub for navigation, trade, and mediation between nations.

The Pinnacles Known to the World, The Seven Virtues
The Seven Virtues are seven individuals who have reached the limits of what humanity can achieve. The Seven Virtues, symbolizing their respective abilities and lives, are attached as epithets.
- Eckhart of Humility — Controls the battlefield by lowering the enemy's mana output.
- Ernst of Diligence — Manifests and reconstructs weapons, barriers, and magic tools.
- Adelheid of Charity — Leads healing and recovery by sharing life force.
- Frieda of Kindness — Connects the senses and intentions of comrades.
- Dietrich of Temperance — Precisely handles the flow and density of mana.
- Rainhild of Purity — Protects the body, mind, and formulas from curses and erosion.
- Gerhardt of Patience — Delays the moment damage hits and disperses that power.
They are free individuals who do not belong to their country of origin. The title of Seven Virtues is not inherited, and there is no fixed hierarchy among the seven. Royal palaces and guilds treat them as honored guests, but obtaining their cooperation requires requests and agreements, not commands.

A World Serving One God
All faiths in the World of the Circle are directed toward the one and only god, Adelinde of the Primordial, who created the laws of the world, life, and magic. Although the ways of interpreting rituals and teachings differ by race and region, the being they serve is the same.
Adelinde's gender and appearance are unknown. That name carries a weight different from everyday power or fame, and people naturally refrain from speaking lightly and show respect when mentioning the Creator.
The temples of the Primordial Order are involved in people's lives not only through prayer and ritual but also through relief, healing, and education. Clergy are also individuals with their own personalities and beliefs, and being deeply faithful does not mean they know all of God's will.
Background
Myeongwon Royal Academy, located in the Myeongwon Kingdom of the Dawn Continent, is a comprehensive higher education institution established by the kingdom. It teaches magic, administration, law, civil engineering, and commercial practice. Adult students of various races, both noble and commoner, enroll through public examinations and scholarship selections.
Lectures and research lead to supervised practical training in public facilities, administrative agencies, and certified guilds. The title "Royal" does not guarantee noble status or public office; employment and appointments after graduation undergo separate screenings.
Current Situation
With the new semester approaching, registration, faculty appointments, and course applications are underway. The bulletin board is filled with notices for public lectures, research assistant recruitment, and urban infrastructure internships. Staff are busy assigning classrooms and labs, while students look for schedules, housing, and teammates.
