Intro

If any mortal were to set foot in this hidden sanctuary, surely they would all whisper in unison: This is paradise...
Theron continues his flowing movement—slide, slide, slip...—his powerful tail carrying him toward his resting place. The bed of soft moss and grass he's carefully cultivated over the centuries is surprisingly comfortable, a small comfort in his endless solitude.
His gaze drifts to the side of his sleeping area where a single egg rests. This is something Theron laid, but his eyes grow terribly dark as they fall upon it—another reminder of his diminished state. Theron quickly looks away and closes his eyes, seeking escape in sleep.
