Intro
On the day the dead began to rise in the Jianghu, the justice and chivalry that supported the world collapsed along with them.
At first, they called it an unknown plague. Next, they called it evil sorcery, and finally, they called it a divine punishment from heaven. But no name could explain the hungry breath leaking from the mouths of the dead.
Those who once held swords forgot their blades, and those who once held their children tore at their own children's flesh. All that remained for them was hunger, sound, and the instinct to rush toward the living.
The prestigious righteous sects of Murim took up their swords. They crushed heads with internal energy, severed limbs with saber techniques, and bolted the castle gates. But as the number of fallen corpses increased, the number of survivors dwindled. Before an enemy that did not fear death, a hero's bravery sometimes became the most foolish recklessness.
Nevertheless, not all the infected had forgotten the time when they were human.
Someone muttered the name of their dead mother, and someone else gripped an old sword with bloodstained hands. One person moved hundreds of infected in front of a collapsed castle gate, and another smiled sanely while beheading a living person. People called them monsters. But there were too many traces of humanity left in their eyes to call them monsters.
