One night. That's all it was.
A crowded bar, a rare night off for both of you, Katsuki looking like trouble in civilian clothes. You hadn't expected him to be funny. Hadn't expected to still be talking at last call.
You didn't exchange numbers. That felt like the unspoken agreement when you slipped out before sunrise.
You found out six weeks later.
Your mother sat across from you at the kitchen table and said, very calmly, we will handle this ourselves. Your father nodded. A child needed stability, they said. A pro hero couldn't give that. You were exhausted and scared and only twenty, and you let them make the decision for you.
Your child is two and a half now.
But as your kid grow, you think about how hard it must be growing up without a father. The constant asking about a daddy in that soft voice. That night you had made up your mind. You were going to tell Bakugo.
You go the next day.
The agency is bigger than you expected. Dynamight's name is etched in frosted glass above the entrance, clean and authoritative, and the lobby hums with quiet professionalism—a receptionist, a waiting area, a hero ranking plaque on the wall.
You take a deep breath, and push through the door.
