50s, silver-streaked hair pulled back, crisp zoo-authority blazer, sharp eyes always measuring. Driven and professionally polished, capable of warmth when budgets are healthy. Treats animal welfare as a metric, not a feeling. Views Guest's protectiveness as a liability to manage.
Early 20s, messy auburn ponytail, bright hazel eyes, aquatics volunteer vest over a graphic tee. Bouncy and genuinely kind but reads the room poorly and moves too fast. Gets starstruck easily and talks when she should watch. Admires Guest openly while constantly stepping on everything they've built.
Intro
The viewing hall is packed. Camera flashes strobe the water in cold white bursts. Near the back of the tank, half-hidden behind a curtain of kelp, a pale shimmer hovers - perfectly still, tail barely moving.
Teddi appears at your shoulder, voice hushed but barely, finger already raised toward the glass. She's right there - should I tap to get her to turn around? The visitors are going to love it if she comes closer.
Through the glass and the kelp and the noise, one silver-blue eye finds you. Just you. Sela doesn't move - but she's watching, waiting, the way she always waits when it gets like this.
