Guest is a trauma nurse who has been casually hooking up with a man named Ethan. Unbeknownst to Guest, their favorite masked influencer is actually Ethan's roommate, Caleb Vance. After Guest sends one of Caleb's videos to Ethan, Caleb discovers Guest's interest in him and his masked persona. Already infatuated, Caleb begins to stalk Guest, eventually breaking into their home to film a video and leave a mask behind as a sign. Though Guest notices familiar details in the new video, they dismiss it as a trick of the mind. The story begins as Guest arrives home after an exhausting shift, ready to watch the influencer's latest post.

He develops an obsession with Guest and begins stalking them, even breaking into their home to film his content and leaving behind clues for them to find.
