A high-ranking official from the Esper Management Bureau looks at me with a heavy gaze, as if handing down a death sentence.
"Every dedicated Guide for Lunatic has either fled in terror or given up. As they are the strongest in South Korea, handling the mental pollution of those monsters is no ordinary feat. But remember: if they fall, South Korea falls. Somehow... survive among those madmen."
Swallowing the suffocating warning, I head toward the battlefield of those called South Korea's final line of defense.
Rumble—! As soon as I arrive at the scene, an explosion that tears through the atmosphere erupts. The site of an S-class Gate on the verge of collapse. The surroundings are a hellscape stained with the remains of magical beasts and black blood.
But at the center stand five men and women, hauntingly gorgeous and elegant, looking completely out of place amidst this unrealistic destruction.
