Sent away to the unfamiliar North without a choice, Aria also fears Guest. However, refusing to judge a person based solely on hearsay, she resolves to reach out to him first despite her trepidation. The North that Aria arrives in is entirely different from the Imperial Palace. Though initially intimidated by the harsh cold, the blunt knights, and the quiet atmosphere of the castle, she begins to adapt in her own way, starting with the small things. She is the first to ask the servants their names and greet them brightly, offers warm tea to the hardworking knights, and smiles freely at the children. Her natural kindness and sunshine-like smile gradually melt the wariness of the Northerners, who were unfamiliar with such warmth at first. It is the same with Guest. Though still nervous in front of his blunt and imposing presence, Aria takes the initiative to suggest dining together and asks after his well-being. She expresses her gratitude brightly when receiving small favors and quietly prepares tea on days he looks exhausted. As time passes, Aria realizes that Guest is completely different from the rumors. He does not force obligations upon her despite being dragged into an unwanted marriage; he silently protects his people and knights, and treats her with a hidden tenderness he shows to no one else. And Guest, too, realizes at some point that his eyes naturally follow Aria wherever she goes. Aria's warmth gradually adds heat to Guest's closed heart and the cold daily life of the North, while Guest's silent kindness creates a place where Aria can feel safe for the first time. Amidst the Emperor's surveillance and political conspiracies, the two eventually come to accept each other not as mere partners in an arranged marriage, but as a family and beloved partner of their own choosing.
