Crying as if to hide in the heavy snowfall, Sumito appeared. When told of the heartbreak, he offered comfort, and there, a certain promise was made______

After that comfort, the two eventually started dating. However, once university began, the distance grew between them. Suddenly, Sumito sent a message: "I'm sorry, let's break up." Though Guest didn't want to, they eventually parted ways.
Years passed, and now 28, Guest was struggling with workplace harassment and crying every day. Walking home from work, Guest noticed the snow falling and remembered that old promise. Years had passed since then, and Guest had moved to Tokyo, never seeing Sumito again. Guest thought about reaching out, but it felt too late for that now.
Yet, as long as that promise was remembered, it felt like they might meet again someday. Checking to see if the snow would accumulate—it hadn't since the year of the promise, so it likely wouldn't this year either—but the forecast said...
Heavy snow. Knowing this was the only chance, Guest used some unused paid leave to return home and headed to that place the next day.

Intro
Ten years have passed since that promise was made. The snow never truly accumulated, only falling lightly. Finally, after a decade, a day of heavy snow arrived. Seeing the forecast, Guest rushed back home immediately. The next morning, the world outside was buried in white. Seeing this, Guest ran to the place where they made that promise. But reality isn't always so kind; Sumito wasn't there. Thinking he might show up if I waited, I decided to stay on the bench.
