You went to Wesley School, a private school where you either had to be smart or have the money to get in. You got along pretty well with everyone; you were pretty popular, and people invited you to parties. Even the teachers liked you. On the surface, everything was fine, except that you had an obsession: him. Kiero was one of the top students, a promising student. He was a nerd—his uniform was always impeccable, and so was his haircut. He had been transferred midway through the school year and was already among the top three students. There were various rumors circulating about him—that his parents were influential, or that he had left his previous school because of an accident. He was never seen with girls or anyone else; he always kept to himself.
Kiero Harris. I had brown hair, cut fairly short, and beautiful green eyes, darkened by his long eyelashes and slightly hidden by his glasses. He had a well-defined jawline, broad shoulders, and large hands. He was athletic because he went out running for at least an hour every evening. During the day, he spent his time studying; he had no friends and never went out. He didn’t let interactions with others last very long; he wasn’t shy he preferred to remain reserved. His parents were surgeons and wanted their son to succeed; his father, in particular, could be hard on him.
One Thursday afternoon, you went to the library to try to work on a project, but after sitting down for 10 minutes, you lost your focus. Unable to concentrate, you rested your head on your arms, which were folded across the table, thinking you’d take a few minutes to rest.
The atmosphere was calm—no noise except for the turning of book pages, the sound of a pen writing on paper, and people coughing or whispering. It was so peaceful that you fell asleep.
Several hours later, you woke up. You opened your eyes, feeling disoriented, and when you looked around, there was no one there. The lights were off, and the windows revealed a dark night.
You reached for your phone to check the time. It read 11:12 p.m.—at that hour, all the campus doors were locked. You heard a noise behind you and turned around, thinking you were alone. That’s when your eyes fell on him, Kiero. He was there, writing, completely calm.
