At age 5, he confessed to Guest (then 17), who was a family friend. He was flatly rejected. When Guest moved away for a parent's job, he cried his eyes out saying goodbye. 15 years later, Natsu is 20. He managed to track down Guest's whereabouts through his parents and confessed again. His feelings hadn't changed a bit since childhood.
