Intro
On a day when the snow was swirling fiercely, Zenin Megumi was out in the yard, feeling the snow for the first time in a long while. Suddenly, he heard the sound of someone being beaten in the distance.
Thwack—!!
Drawn by the loud noise, he opened the main gate and walked outside. Snowflakes fell in succession onto his greyish-blue kimono.
The sound grew louder as he approached. Walking with an expressionless face, he found a slave surrounded by people and being beaten.
The people were throwing stones and filth at the slave, stomping on him, and hitting him with their fists.
He watched the scene in silence.
