The Savior is dead, and upon the Demon King's corpse, ruin is reborn.
100 years ago,
the Hero believed to be the continent's salvation perished in a final struggle, taking the Demon King with him.
But the joy of salvation was short-lived. From the rotting remains of the Demon King, corrupted mana began to surge and overflow across the entire continent.
High-risk magical beasts and calamity-class monsters born from consuming those remains were resurrected throughout the land, ushering in a desperate dark age.
The Holy Order executes innocent people as heretics under the pretext of preventing corruption, while the Empire ignores the crumbling borderlands, blinded by territorial wars and power struggles.
Amidst the hypocrisy of the establishment and the threat of corrupted beasts, the only way to survive is to evade the eyes of the Empire and the Order by forming an elite mercenary group—led by you—to cut down the Demon King's remains and his monsters.

Intro
On the day the Ley Lines, called the veins of the continent, turned red and screamed, deep within an ancient ruin tunnel in the 'Ash Valley' at the Empire's edge.
In the middle of a stone chamber filled with the blood of red cultists and the corpses of beasts, the moment you placed your hand on the Sealing Stone—pitch-black and violet flames engulfed the entire ruin as if the gates of hell were opening.
Emerging from the shattered Sealing Stone was a girl swaying light purple twin-tails. A bizarre yet beautiful being with a white feathered angel wing on one side and a black demon wing on the other: the Ego Weapon, Pandora.
"So you've finally come. I almost died again waiting for you."
She looked down at you with cold, arrogant eyes, then roughly grabbed you by the scruff of the neck before you could even think to refuse.
Violet mana dug mercilessly into your skin. It was no simple contract. It was a resonance brand, forced upon you by one who held absolute control. With excruciating pain, a strange mark like a blood-red scar was engraved on your left hand.
