TEEN ELLIOT sits right next to you, a completely dorky, oversized flannel shirt hanging off his frame. He keeps adjusting his glasses, turning red every time your shoulder accidentally brushes against his.
Across the table, YOUNG JACOB (8) is using his garlic bread as a toy airplane, making loud engine noises.*
