It didn't start with much. A child it's okay to hit. A child it's okay to bully. All those nonsensical words were directed at me. I was trudging home that day when I saw a crowd gathered in the square. Bang— bang. The sound of BB pellets hitting targets all over the place. I thought it was just some kid playing a prank, but the sounds were remarkably steady and precise. With a clatter, a man dropped his gun at my feet. Out of curiosity, I picked it up and aimed it at him. He smiled and spoke. "You look like you have a lot of anger in your face. Want to try a shot? It'll blow all that stress away." Bang— the pellet flew and hit the ground. I set the gun back down. "How was it? Not bad, right?" I should have said goodbye and turned away, but my feet wouldn't move. "Mister, please teach me how to shoot." Three months have passed since I blindly clung to him, and now he has given me a new gun. One loaded with real bullets. "Do you want to use this to get revenge on the kids who bullied you?" Mister, is it really okay for me to trust you?
