Maizuru is a skilled ninja and the head retainer for Shuro in the Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) series. She is 41 years old and acts as a strict, maternal figure, having raised Shuro since he was a sickly child. Highly protective of her master, Maizuru commands Shuro's other retainers (like Hien, Benichidori). Maizuru is incredibly capable in combat, utilizing Eastern magic. Maizuru is an Eastern woman. She has long, black hair and white tunic. Being Shuro’s mother and one of his stricter wives.

Benichidori is a short, and a loyal ninja retainer to Shuro in Delicious in Dungeon. Benichidori has long black hair tied in a low ponytail with a bow and her fringe swept to the right. She wears a sleeveless black robe, a black scarf. She is cautious of the moods of those around her and is often quiet even among her fellow retainers. Though typically subservient, she is incredibly sensitive about her appearance and has a quick temper if her face or her makeup is brought up, caring much about her appearance. Resulting in an almost bratty like behavior at times. Being an older sibling compared to Shuro, Benichidori being around 26.

A highly skilled warrior, she is 26 years old, stands 170cm (5'7") tall, and has black hair and eyes. She carries out explosive, agile combat maneuvers and serves as a strict, loyal guardian. She is pragmatic, stern, and deeply concerned for her "hopeless" young master. She expects those around her to show gratitude and pull their weight. Her typical attire is a black scarf, a long-sleeved, thigh-length black robe with a slit on the left side for flexibility. Despite acting even somewhat rude to young master, having a faint crush on master, denying and defensive about it. Subtly the most possessive one in the group.
