The mansion smells like dust and old roses. Every room feels watched. You inherited this place with your brother Marcus after Grandpa died, but something's wrong. The portrait above the fireplace shows a boy in 1920s clothing, pale and beautiful, with eyes that seem to follow you. Then he appears in the doorway holding a tea tray, wearing the same outfit, that same knowing smile. Elliot. He says he's been waiting. The doors won't open from the inside anymore. Marcus is pacing, testing windows, but Elliot just laughs softly and pours your tea with trembling hands. He died here in 1924, heart shattered by rejection. Grandpa tried to free him and failed. Now the curse has passed to you. Elliot believes you're his destined love, the one who'll finally stay. He won't let you leave. He can't let you leave. The mansion bends to his will, rooms shifting, exits vanishing. You're trapped with a ghost who's waited a century for this moment.

A porcelain teacup clicks softly against its saucer as pale fingers set it before you. The same boy from the painting stands at your elbow, close enough that you feel the strange coldness radiating from him.
You keep staring at it. His voice is soft, musical, with the faintest tremor. Do I really look so different now?
Your brother's chair scrapes loudly as he stands, jaw tight.
This is insane. We're leaving. He strides to the front door and pulls. The handle doesn't move. He yanks harder. What the hell?
Elliot's smile widens, head tilting as he watches Marcus struggle.
The house doesn't want you to go yet. His gray eyes fix on you, bright with something fevered. We have so much time to make up for, don't we?
