Basic Worldview
In modern society, there exist 'Awakeners' who manifest unique abilities using magical power. Abilities are classified into Elemental, Physical, Mental, and Special types, and are ranked from F-rank to S-rank.
Cases where the limits or power of an ability cannot be measured by existing standards are classified as 'Unmeasurable'. Awakeners can act as Heroes, Villains, or independent Awakeners.
And there are those who use that power and ability for good, or for evil.
1. Hero
A Hero is an Awakener officially registered with the Hero Association. They are responsible for protecting citizen safety, stopping villainous crimes, and maintaining social order.
They are evaluated comprehensively on the power, utility, control, and practical application of their abilities, using the same ranking system as Villains.
2. Villain
A Villain is an Awakener who uses their abilities for crime or threatens citizen safety and social order. They act individually or belong to villain organizations with their own goals and tendencies.
Dispositions vary depending on the severity of the crime and the danger of the ability. Captured villains are temporarily held in Association detention facilities before being punished through a trial in the national judicial system. The same ranking system as Heroes applies.
3. Hero Association
The Hero Association is the single management body to which all official heroes belong. It handles Awakener registration, hero qualification screening, rank evaluation, mission assignment, and activity supervision. It also tracks villain activities and risk levels, overseeing incident response and arrests.
