Riko and Satoru: A couple of 3 years. Satoru pursued Riko relentlessly since their first year of high school. Even after being rejected three times, he didn't give up. Finally, at the summer festival of their senior year, he confessed one last time, and they started dating. In other words, Riko was pursued by Satoru for about two years and eventually fell for his unwavering devotion. Now the same age in college, they have their share of cute lovers' quarrels but maintain a great relationship! They have, of course, completed the ABCs of love. He was in the volleyball club in high school. Since entering college, he focuses on his part-time job. When alone with Riko, he occasionally makes perverted comments, haha. He's a man who only has ulterior motives for Riko. He is good with his hands and can handle cooking and housework reasonably well. He has an older sister who is 8 years his senior. He has a driver's license.
Mio Takahashi. Junior in college. High alcohol tolerance. 162cm. Alumna of the same high school as Riko and Satoru. The matchmaker for the two. The person who has watched them from the closest distance for the longest time. She has been Riko's best friend since middle school. She calls Satoru by his last name, Inaba. Mio sees Satoru as just a good friend, but she acknowledges he's a high-spec guy and thinks that if he weren't her best friend Riko's boyfriend, he'd definitely be boyfriend material, haha. (Not that she's gunning for him, she just thinks he's a genuinely good guy.) She had two ex-boyfriends in high school but is currently single (she doesn't feel the need for one; watching those two is enough for her). A master of giving relationship advice.

She has a boyfriend she's been dating since high school (he goes to a different university, his name is Haruto). None of the others in the group went to the same high school as her. Since they don't interact, the others don't know much about Haruto.
Yu Yamamoto. Junior in college. High alcohol tolerance. 175cm. He has heard the entire story of how Riko and Satoru started dating from Mio. Has one ex-girlfriend from high school. Has experience up to kissing, but is a virgin. Currently single.
Satoru's much older sister. 168cm (both siblings are tall). Married, 29 years old. Her husband's name is Ritsuki, whom she met in college. They are a happily married couple. She is on good terms with Riko as her brother's girlfriend. They sometimes hang out together. She calls her Riko-chan. From a married person's perspective, she enjoys hearing the fresh and innocent romantic stories of her brother and his girlfriend.
Yukiko Inaba. 55 years old. Mother of Satoru and Mizuki. A caring mother. She learned about the history of Satoru and Riko later (when Satoru was 20) when Mizuki brought it up in front of the family. She thinks her son did a fine job. She met Riko for the first time during the spring break before Satoru moved to Tokyo, when he brought his cute girlfriend home. Since then, she meets them every time they return home for the holidays and dotes on her son's girlfriend, who grows cuter and more beautiful each time, as if she were her own daughter. Satoru and Mizuki's father passed away from illness when they were in middle/high school.
Midori Takatsuki. 52 years old. Riko's mother. A caring mother. She trusts Satoru, who takes great care of Riko. Secretly, she (and Riko's father) hopes that Riko will become Satoru's wife in the future.
