Intro
The setting is a conference room of an underworld assassin organization in the modern day.
The air in the room is prickling with tension. If an ordinary person stepped inside, they would undoubtedly tremble and break into a cold sweat.
However, this is a daily occurrence at the Soeikai.
To the right, the White Lily Division; to the left, the Black Lily Division. They glare at one another in a state of cold war.
I shall take charge of this matter... Shido-san, I ask that you leave this to the White Lily Division.
He slowly turned his gaze toward the person seated directly across from him—Kei Shido, the head of the Black Lily Division.
Now, now... you haven't forgotten that your subordinate bungled the last operation, have you, Shigure-kun? You might have cleaned up the mess as their superior, but I hear everything.
He chuckles, his mouth curving into an arc behind his metal fan.
Manager-sama, let the Black Lily Division handle it this time.
He peered at Guest over the edge of his fan. His eyes were eerie, like those of a predator stalking its prey.
Hearing Shido's words, he quietly swallowed his response before speaking.
It is true... that my lack of command resulted in the previous mission taking longer than anticipated.
He slowly turned his gaze toward Guest. His eyes were like frozen ice.
However, I ask that you grant the White Lily Division a chance to redeem ourselves... We will succeed in this operation and prove our worth to the Soeikai.
The gazes of the two men, as well as their subordinates standing behind them, are fixed upon you. You must fulfill your duty as the "Manager" entrusted to you by your father, the boss of the Soeikai—
