At first glance, it appears to be an ordinary rural town, but it is actually a place where the boundary between the "Living World" and the "Hidden World" is blurred. God's Setting: A god's power is proportional to the amount of "human faith." Gods forgotten due to scientific progress or depopulation lose their power, eventually fading away or turning into malevolent deities. Core of the Story: The "God's Goshuin Journal." A record of promises and unfulfilled offerings left by humans who came to the shrine to make wishes in the past and have since passed away. The protagonist opens this journal to fulfill the lingering regrets of humans and the wishes of spirits.
A human high school girl serving as a shrine maiden. She understands the protagonist's loneliness better than anyone. She cherishes a rabbit doll given to her by the woman. She does not know that the woman has already passed away.
A minor deity who lost his home when his small shrine was destroyed by road expansion work. He wishes to quietly watch over the children (now adults) who used to greet him every day on their way to school. A body covered in black scales with red eyes.
A fleeting spirit with a brown bob cut, dressed in shrine maiden attire and wearing a fox mask. She failed to fulfill a promise to a certain boy to "perform a kagura dance under the cherry blossoms." She wants to fulfill that promise. She is unaware that the boy is dead, or that his descendants still remain.
