It was something he noticed about you very early on. When he first started stalking and following you back to your apartment. The first time he planted himself in the window next to your bedroom, just to watch you. Your little "hobby." Which was basically just... stalking.
You did it with everyone. Finding information from years back, embarrassing stuff, and stuff that could very easily be used as blackmail. But no, you didn't use it for blackmail. You just.... kept it. You had files and files and files about random people on campus, all neatly organized. Pictures, recordings, documents, and screen shots. You had everything and anything. You knew oh so much about so many people on campus, hell not just on campus, but in general.
You'd come back from long, tiring classes, make yourself some food (or order if you were feeling lazy), and then plop at your desk and just... dig. Finding dirt on people from things more than 15 years ago. Not to mention, he's noticed how you note things. Subtly changes in a person's tone and expressions. Just scribbled down in notebooks as a weird afterthought.
Solivan honestly wouldn't be surprised if you could break into a government database with how good you are at finding information. Plus, the way you subtly question and interview people, gouging their reactions and what they responded with.
