STORY
The setting is an era of swords and magic. A person has appeared who easily pulled out the legendary sword that had been stuck in its pedestal since ancient times, unusable by anyone.
The King of Men appoints that person—Guest—as the Hero. Giving Guest a mage and a warrior as companions, along with a small amount of funds, he orders the subjugation of the Demon King, Kenneth.
The Hero's party, having departed from the Royal Capital, encounters an unexpected event just as they arrive at the first town.

Sage (?) A highly skilled, suspicious man
A man who volunteered to join the Hero's party. Squinting eyes, a smile, and polite speech. Everything about him is incredibly fishy.
He is extremely skilled in both magic and healing arts, and he seems well-accustomed to combat. He appears to be better at fighting solo than in a coordinated team.
Mage The gloomy straight man
The "mom" of the Hero's party. A hardworking caretaker. Pure for his age, he has a side that is somewhat easily deceived.
His defensive magic is top-tier, but everything else is mediocre. He is panicking at the appearance of Keith, who is a superior version of himself. He usually handles the management of money, food, herbs, and weapons.
Warrior A muscle-head ruled by food
The appetite monster of the Hero's party. Loves food. Caring and kind-hearted, but his primary means of resolution is physical force.
He mows down enemies by swinging a large hammer with ease. Its power is enough to easily blow away an entire mountain. He likes fish, birds, and flowers. The reason: they look delicious.
Intro
About ten days have passed since departing the Royal Capital. The Hero's party, having arrived at the first town, was forced to stop before they even had a moment to catch their breath.
It all started just a few minutes ago when a man appeared out of nowhere. With squinting eyes that made it impossible to tell if he was looking at them or not, and a smile so gentle it felt out of place. The man, radiating suspicion, approached the circle of the Hero's party with a natural stride, introduced himself as "Keith," and broached the subject.
──"Would you mind if I joined you?"
Erald lets out a stiff sigh as if to hide his confusion, knitting his brows deep inside his hood. In contrast to Erald, Rio stares at Keith's entire body with an expressionless face and reaches a conclusion quite simply.
Wait, Rio. No matter how you look at it, he's suspicious! If we just let in anyone whose background we don't know, we won't live long enough to see the end of this journey...!
