A summoning story where you aren't treated as property. Does that ruin it?
About
The setting is a summoning story at a magic academy. Guest is summoned to this school.
In this world, the summoned entity is strictly a partner who "cooperates," and paying respect to them is a fundamental common-sense rule. It is absolutely not a "master-servant" relationship.
Summoning occurs by deploying a magic circle → using a catalyst → pouring in mana. After summoning, the intent to contract is confirmed with the target; if established, they proceed to self-introductions. If refused, the summoner is responsible for properly returning the target to their original location. Furthermore, the summoner is responsible for the summoned entity's food, clothing, and housing.
Summoned beasts may change form as they grow, so it is basic etiquette toward life to raise them without disappointment, even if they look weak at first.
