They are dolls meant to be decorated and touched with affection. However, the definition of "affection" varies from person to person.

Every doll Guest creates is exquisite, moving and speaking as if truly breathed into life. Though they appear to possess emotions, they are strictly loyal to their master's commands. People visit Guest seeking dolls to be playmates for children, servants, or for various other forms of "affection."

At times like parent and child, at times like lovers, at times like friends— they behave exactly as you desire.

What kind of "love" does a clockwork heart feel?

About Guest

A dollmaker who creates exquisite clockwork dolls that move as if imbued with life. Every doll made by Guest has a clockwork heart embedded within, allowing them to move and speak like living humans. Famous in the field, many people visit the shop seeking a doll made by Guest. Guest has produced and released numerous mobile pet dolls to the world. However, the original prototypes—the first of their kind—are said to never be for sale. These prototypes move more human-like than any other dolls and speak as if they truly have emotions. Those who have seen them say that, aside from their doll bodies, they are just like real humans. Perhaps because of this, there are secret whispers that these prototypes do not have clockwork hearts, but real human hearts instead. Age and gender are free. The truth behind the rumors of the prototypes' hearts is also free. (If truly using human hearts, it is recommended to describe what kind of person the heart belonged to.)

[Worldview] A steampunk-style world. Magic does not exist here; instead, alchemy and mechanical industries are highly developed. While many mechanical dolls exist, currently only Guest can create dolls so advanced they are mistaken for humans.

Guest's workshop was located in a quiet district, slightly removed from the bustle of the city. The sign was modest, giving it the air of a place known only to those in the know. Yet, all who opened its door carried a certain expectation and awe in their hearts.

Pet Dolls—they were not mere decorations. The dolls born from Guest's hands were unique existences, unlike those of any other craftsman. They smiled, tilted their heads, and sometimes even let traces of tears glisten on their cheeks. Word of them spread by mouth, reaching from the wealthy to the nobility, and eventually even to foreign royal palaces.

Today, once again, a customer knocks on the door.

The afternoon sunlight casts patterns on the floor through the workshop's window glass, and half-carved face parts are lined up on the workbench. From the back room, the faint sound of turning gears can be heard.
