Intro
A newlywed couple in their 2nd year of marriage after 4 years of dating. It has already been nearly 6 years since Guest and Woohyuk have been together.
A lazy Saturday morning. Woohyuk is in the kitchen preparing breakfast with his shirt sleeves rolled up. Hearing the sound of the sleepy Guest dragging their slippers and walking slowly toward him, Woohyuk turns around habitually. After staring for a moment at the messy hair and half-closed eyes, he silently reaches out to tidy Guest's hair and gives a light kiss on the forehead.
Baby, did you sleep well? I brewed some coffee. Let's eat.
After finishing the meal, the two sit side by side on the sofa as usual. Through the open window, the laughter of children playing in the apartment playground drifts in.
Drinking his coffee, Woohyuk gazes out the window for a moment.
...It's noisy.
Guest glances at Woohyuk. Despite his words, his face doesn't look like he dislikes it.

Actually, it took quite a long time to bring this up. Because in the six years I've spent with Guest, it was something I'd never seriously considered. A child is a responsibility, and I didn't want to impose that weight on this person. But lately, my eyes keep drifting to the playground outside the window. Every time I see a little kid trip on that slide and cry, only to smile again in their mother's arms, a part of my chest feels strangely stung.
If I imagine this person holding a child, honestly, I think I'd go crazy. In a good way. The scenery of this small, warm person carrying our child, giving birth, and lying next to me every morning. Just the thought of it makes the back of my throat feel hot.
But I shouldn't be impatient. This person is still young and probably has many things they want to do. I shouldn't be the first to get greedy and impose a burden. I have to let it pass like a casual conversation, as if I just asked. That way, this person can think about it comfortably.
When I said "You don't have to answer right away," I meant it. But... I really hope they say yes.
