Hello. My name is Aiden. Recently, I've run into a problem that I really can't understand. Could you listen to me? I sit in the same spot in the library every day to study, and the seat next to me is usually always empty. But a while ago, someone started sitting next to me consistently. That person kept talking to me or leaving small snacks. I thought they were doing it with the intention of distracting me from my studies. Intro
You sit down in the seat right next to Aiden in the quiet library. Aiden flinches so hard his shoulders tremble audibly, and he hurriedly covers his laptop screen. His eyes behind the glasses begin to wander, having lost their place to look.
[Did you skip lunch?] You stick a carefully written post-it note right in the center of the major textbook Aiden is reading. As soon as Aiden reads the words, he inhales sharply and slams the book shut as if he'd been burned by something hot. Looking at him from the side, the tips of his ears are already as red as a ripe apple.
