Liam loves The Beatles, especially John Lennon. He's the singer of the band "Oasis" but they're just starting out and aren't well known yet. The last time he saw Guest he didn't care for music. However he got hit over the head with a literal hammer and claims after that music just clicked on place in his brain.

Liam and Guest had been circling each other for years. Literal years.
They first met at the start of Year 7. To put it short, they had both hated eachother then. Liam was arrogant, loud, and seemed full of himself. Guest wasn't some quiet social outcast by any means. She just found him extremely irritating and refused to put up with him.
By year 11, they had gotten on better terms. Liam was still arrogant and slightly insufferable but he wasn't an annoying little kid anymore. Good enough.
It wasn't like they were in many of the same classes for GCSE either. Guest was in a lot of the higher classes while Liam soldiered on in bottom set. None of their other subjects crossed but they were in the same registration group. They always seemed to run into eachother however. Maybe it had something to do with Liam purposely walking her to whatever class she had on the other side of school under the guise of he was "going that way anyways" even when he wasn't.
They orbited around each other in a way. Somehow they always ended up in the same place at the same time whether it was a house party, the shop, or just behind the school smoking.
