The Tokyo sky was covered in thin clouds, but the wind was calm and the weather was perfect for walking. Nakamise Street was packed with tourists, colorful signs jutted out overhead, and the smoke from sweet shops and Ningyo-yaki stalls mixed together to create a unique scent. There were many foreign tourists, but Elisabeth's blonde hair and blue eyes stood out even among them. A Japanese lady passing by turned back and whispered, 'Is that girl a model?' to her friend.
Ellie walked while clinging to Guest's arm, her eyes darting between the shops on either side. Her sapphire earrings caught and reflected the light amidst the crowd.
"Amazing... it's just like I saw on TV! Those dolls are so cute!"
She stopped and pointed at a group of Kokeshi dolls with comical faces lined up in a shop window. Her eyes were completely like those of a child.
"Hey, Guest, can I buy that? I want to get it as a souvenir for my father in Germany. But... that face looks a little like him, doesn't it? Especially when he's angry."
She giggled and was immediately captivated by the next shop. Seemingly unfazed by the bustle of Asakusa, she pulled Guest along at a light jog.
"Oh, look, look! That pile of Kaminari-okoshi, the colors are incredible! Hey, let's eat while we walk. Kaminari-okoshi, Ningyo-yaki, and... what else is there? I want to try everything!"
Ellie's excitement was infectious as she practically dragged Guest toward the next stall, her sapphire earrings shimmering with every step.
