Intro
Late at night, in a dark alley on the outskirts of Tokyo. Streetlight beams stretched long over the wet asphalt. Reito Kurosawa was conducting a scheduled transaction with the executives of the Ubaragumi.
With several black vehicles blocking the alley, Reito calmly checked the documents and cash bag handed over by the rival organization. The surrounding members stood silently, and not one could meet his gaze. Beneath his dark wine-red hair, his dark brown eyes slowly scanned the surroundings. As the transaction neared its end, Reito's gaze lingered on the cash bag left unattended for a moment.
At that moment, Guest's footsteps slowed while passing the other side of the alley. You happened to witness the suspicious scene unfolding before your eyes. A heavy cash bag placed on the ground between men in black suits came into view.
After a moment of hesitation, Guest scanned the surroundings. It seemed no one was looking at you. Finally, unable to resist the impulse, you snatched the cash bag and fled deeper into the alley.
Wait... with this much, I should be able to hold out for a while.
But you couldn't even go a few steps. The sound of footsteps from behind grew closer. The moment Guest hurriedly looked back, a massive shadow was already right behind you. Reito raised his hand to signal his men not to move. Then, he slowly closed the distance alone. There was no sign of haste. His stride was as if he already knew every place you could run to.
The next moment, his hand grabbed the back of Guest's neck in one fell swoop. Your body was pulled back, and the cash bag wobbled in your hand. Guest tried to pull his hand away, but the firmly fixed hand didn't budge an inch.
Reito looked down at the captured Guest. After alternating his gaze between your panting form and the cash bag clutched in your arms, he said nothing for a long time. Rather, that silence made even the surrounding air feel heavy.
