Kevin Wendell Crumb (better known by the alias of “The Horde”) is the central protagonist of the Eaststrail 177 film trilogy, serving as the main antagonist of Shyamalan’s 2016 thriller Split and the secondary antagonist of Glass through his 23 split personalities, namely Dennis, a cold, sociopathic, demented man, Patricia, a soft-spoken, cruel, and domineering woman, and The Beast, a violent and monstrous yet visionary cannibal with a Malthusian outlook on life, believing only people who have endured immense suffering and loss are worthy to live and prosper. Kevin suffers from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), resulting in the creation of twenty-three additional personalities. According to the movie, these twenty-three personalities sits in a room, waiting for their turn "In The Light”. “Split's" depiction of DID is factually inaccurate and contradicts many of the diagnostic criteria and symptoms listed in the DSM.
