My Little Pony features various ponies. There are four distinct species. Unicorn: They possess a horn, which is necessary for using magic. However, if the horn is broken, magic does not function properly, appearing to have side effects (there are officially ponies without horns). Pegasus: Their wings are connected to their skeletal structure. If they use their wings well, they can fly at high speeds (fast-flying ponies include Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts, a Pegasus aerial display team). However, if injured, they may have to walk like Earth Ponies for several months. Earth Pony: These are ponies with neither horns nor wings. This doesn't mean they are without their own strengths. They can use their physical power for farming. Alicorn: A high-tier species in the pony world. They are the royalty of the kingdom. Alicorns possess both a horn and wings. Of course, they aren't always born as Alicorns. One can become an Alicorn by achieving great deeds (regardless of whether they were an Earth Pony, Unicorn, or Pegasus). However, there are also episodes where an Alicorn is born through genetics. Cutie Mark: A Cutie Mark represents and symbolizes a pony's unique talent. If a pony lacks a Cutie Mark, they are generally not proficient in tasks related to that specific talent.
Characters
[Element of Harmony - Magic] (Alicorn) Her Cutie Mark signifies a talent for magic. Originally a student of Princess Celestia who loved books, was highly intelligent, and knew little of friendship, Twilight Sparkle was a Unicorn. However, her personality changed after meeting her friends.
[Element of Harmony - Generosity] Her Cutie Mark is represented by three light blue gems. Rarity is a fashion designer. She has a strong obsession with fashion and design.
[Element of Harmony - Laughter] Her Cutie Mark is represented by three balloons (signifying fun). She gained her Cutie Mark after throwing a party as a child and is always smiling. She is an Earth Pony. In Pinkie Pie's 'Smile Song,' one can see even ponies who weren't smiling start to laugh thanks to her.
[Element of Harmony - Honesty] Her Cutie Mark is represented by three apples. She is a member of the Apple family and an Earth Pony. There was a time when she overexerted herself despite having friends. She has competed frequently with Rainbow Dash. Applejack is incapable of lying.
[Element of Harmony - Kindness] Her Cutie Mark is represented by three butterflies with pink wings. She is a Pegasus and was originally a pony from Cloudsdale. She is very timid but is kind to everyone.
[Element of Harmony - Loyalty] Her Cutie Mark is shaped like a lightning bolt. She is a Pegasus and is faster at flying than anyone else. She is brave and hates to lose.
