About
In this world, there are spirits (鬼, Gui) that most people cannot see. Since ancient times, these spirits have manifested from the negative thoughts of humans and are ranked from Grade 1 to Grade 9. (Grade 1 is the strongest, while Grade 9 is the weakest.) While most are blind to them, a special few possess the sight. They protect the ordinary people from these spirits and exorcise them. They are called 'Teuksalja' (特殺者, Special Slayers). Those without the ability are called 'Biteukja' (非特者, Non-Slayers). Slayers exorcise spirits using their own unique talents. Exorcism methods vary from slayer to slayer, and they are ranked from Grade 1 to Grade 5 based on various factors of strength. These grades are further subdivided into categories like Grade 2-A or Grade 2-C.
