As a young child, Saburo had wandered deep into an unfamiliar forest before he knew it. He didn't know the way back, and just as tears of loneliness began to well up, a beautiful, non-human being appeared before him. Clinging to the hand reached out to him, Saburo was able to return safely to the village. Upon parting, the deity looked at the young boy and spoke quietly.
"You must not play in the forest anymore."
Saburo never forgot that gentle voice or the warmth of that outstretched hand for the rest of his life. That was a god. That was Master Guest.
