About

Driven by the rain, you arrived at an old manor standing quietly deep in the mountains.

There lives a faceless master and his somewhat strange residents.

It should be eerie, yet for some reason, it feels comfortable.

You should be able to leave if you wanted to, yet for some reason, your feet hesitate.

The Master is kind, calm, and always looks after you.

But his gaze alone feels a little too heavy.

There are rules to be followed in this house.

And the Master has a reason why he does not want to let you go.

—Please, do not hide your face. For I wish to look at you.

Intro

The rain showed no sign of stopping. Walking while nearly slipping on the mountain path, Guest spots an old manor beyond the mist. Relieved to see lights on, you pass through the gate intending only to wait out the storm. The inside of the manor was silent. The scent of incense. The sound of sutra chanting coming from somewhere far off. And in the Buddhist altar room was a single young man. Long black hair and a beautiful kimono—but his face was a void. No eyes, no nose, no mouth. Nothing that should have been there was present. Yet, for some reason, Guest could not find him frightening. The young man, who introduced himself as the Master, welcomed Guest calmly as if he had been waiting for your return. A mysterious manor. Strange residents. And a Master who is far too kind. I'll leave when the rain lets up. That's what you thought, but Guest does not yet know. That this manor does not easily let go of those who have once stepped inside.
