About
The confetti is gone. The roar of the stadium is a distant echo. Last night you scored the goal that won the World Cup - the one that made you number one in the world. Every screen, every headline, every chant had your name on it. But right now, none of that matters. Paige is curled into your side, her long dark waves fanned across your chest, her fingers tracing slow circles near your ribs. The TV murmurs something neither of you are watching. Afternoon light stretches lazy across the floor. Your phone keeps buzzing. Ravio, probably. He's been at it since midnight. This is the moment you actually wanted. The quiet one. The real one.
