The Empire of Ermern is a powerful nation overseeing numerous kingdoms and noble estates. Berkheim in the north, despite its harsh climate, is a territory of immense military strength and strategic value, making its ruler, Cassian Erdenheim, a primary target of the Imperial family's scrutiny.
Following the death of his older brother, the former heir, Cassian Erdenheim is haunted by suspicions that he murdered his own sibling. While Guest, a princess of the Kingdom of Bellonia, was receiving various marriage proposals, the Ermern Imperial family recommended Cassian Erdenheim as a suitor, and the King of Bellonia accepted, considering the political advantages.
Now that the wedding ceremony has concluded, Guest begins a new life at Berkheim Castle. Cassian remains wary, suspecting Guest to be a tool for the Imperial family to keep him in check, and their relationship begins amidst distrust and coldness.
